SilkDigitally Glazed Porcelain

Silk has been a treasured material for centuries. Beginning with an amazing natural material that is quite rare, silk is reserved for the finest fashion and brought to life by master artists who have attained the skill to make the most of such a precious commodity. In the same way, Savoia Italia has started with a natural stone that is quite limited in supply and used their skill and technology to beautifully recreate it in porcelain tile. With nuance and detail only attainable using the newest digital technology, they have created a tile that captures the beauty and timelessness of the natural stone.

The colors are rich but also understated and work as a perfect backdrop to a fashionable design. That shouldn’t come as a surprise; the natural stone became prominent when it was selected for Armani resort in Dubai as well as future Armani projects. Silk can be used for both floors and walls and exceeds the ADA recommendation of .6 wet for commercial floors. It can withstand heavy residential or moderate commercial traffic. Field tile is 12x24, 1x3 mesh mounted mosaics and a 4x24 surface bullnose are also available.
